Obituary
Rodney “Punk” Rhodes passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2022 at the age of 67, in his hometown of Mims, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lillian Diane Rhodes, his children, Amanda (Pete) Vento, Ryan (Michelle) Rhodes and Sarah (Greg) Altman and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by an aunt, nieces, nephews and many cousins.
He has worked with heavy equipment his entire life. In the last 12 years he has owned his own business doing what he loves, land clearing. He worked by himself for most of that time, but as Mims has gotten busier and he couldn’t keep up his son joined him to ease his workload. If there was anything that he couldn’t do for someone, he always knew who to call to get the job done.
Punk made a lasting friendship with anyone he met and came in contact with. If you knew him you know that he was always up for talking, as he rarely went anywhere that he didn’t know everyone. He was a hard-worker who rarely took time off, but when he did it was for hunting or fishing. He spent his life looking forward to the next hunting season. As he got older, his love for hunting turned into watching “his” deer on camera and admiring them. He loved making trips to his property and filling feeders to do just that. Overtime he found that it was just as exciting to watch them as to shoot them, almost!
Most would say he is one of a few left of a dying breed of men!

Celebration of life to be held at The Vineyards at Black Willow, 2350 Black Willow Trail, Mims, Florida on August 22, 2022 5PM-8PM. Food provided by Honeysuckle. Dress casually, if Punk could be there he would be wearing his CAMO.
