Lillian Louise Rosel

Lillian (Lil) Louise Rosel, 89 years of age, of Deland and Mims, Florida, passed away peacefully June 26, 2022 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home in Deland, Florida.  Lillian was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Helen Henkel. She moved to Florida in the 1970’s after retiring from owning and operating the Columbus Motor Lodge in Columbus, Ohio.  Lil worked a variety of jobs throughout her life but is most remembered and loved for her crafts, with photos dating back to the early 1900’s to present, she assembled photo albums for all of her family members, so we may remember our family together. Lil also had a love and joy for her family pets, namely her beloved Bear.

Lillian and husband William, (deceased October of 2020) were married 69 years.  Also surviving are her sons Bruce W. Rosel of Mims, FL; Kenneth R. Rosel (Debra) of Round Hill, VA; daughter Laura A. Janssen (deceased August 2021) (Craig) of Deltona, FL; brother Ken Henkel (deceased) (Irene)of Willowick, OH; sister in-law Patricia Funta of Springhill, FL (Thomas, deceased); and grandchildren Christopher Janssen (Brianna), great grandchild Caleb William Janssen of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Cameron Janssen (Sabrina) Punta Gorda, FL;  Kyle Rosel (Carolyn) great grandchild Forrest Robert Rosel of Lovettesville, VA and Kinsey (Rosel) Callaway (Pace) of Tallahassee, FL.

Lillian will join her husband William at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
