Kevin P Short

Long time Brevard County resident Kevin Patrick Short passed away peacefully at home with his family May 23rd.  Kevin was born on May 5, 1954 in Groton Connecticut to Charlotte Ceclia Joynt and U.S. Navy Chief Jack Short.   Kevin was a skilled electrician working residential and commercial construction. Kevin is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mims.   Kevin loved surfing at PlayaLinda Beach at Canaveral national seashore. He was an artist, he loved gardening, woodworking and wood carving. 

Kevin was second of six children to Charlotte and Jack Short.  He was preceded in death by his older brother Sherwood and both of his parents.  Kevin is survived by his wife of 25 years Belinda Lawson of Mims,  his son Zachariah Short of Titusville,  his brother Tex Short and wife Jan of Titusville,  his sisters Siobhan and her husband Wade Wright of Mims, Christine Short of St. Augustine,  Monica and her husband David Fee of Kettering Ohio.  Kevin is also survived by four grandchildren, Ian Johnson of Titusville, Brenna Pridgen of Titusville,  Shelley Carmen of Kentucky, Peyton Haddock of Montana,  two great-grandchildren, Alice and James Carmen of Kentucky and many nieces and nephews. 

Kevin was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather.  He will be greatly missed.
