John Alan Watkins

John A. Watkins, 80, Titusville FL went home to be with the Lord April 3, 2020. John is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, L. Maxine Lyon Watkins, sons Doug (Janet) and Mike (Stephanie), daughters Diane (Greg) Moore and Susan (Mark) O’Hara; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, another great-grandchild due in September, brother Bill and sister Carolyn Baker.  John was preceded in death by his parents, W. Leo and Elizanola Hazelrigg Watkins, an infant daughter Dorothy, son-in-law Greg Moore, and sister Annette Hegner.

John served as an active member of First United Methodist Church of Titusville for more than 40 years. He retired from Boeing in 2005, where he worked as an electrical engineer.

In addition to a loving family, John was blessed to have many life-long “Yellowrock” friends- the Benders, Larimores and McMillens and countless friends from FUMC.
