Obituary

Edward Moss Patrick, 85, died Monday May 14, 2018 at William Child’s Hospice House in Palm Bay. Ed was born in Richmond, Kentucky and graduated from Model High School and Eastern Kentucky State Teacher’s College. He received his Master’s Degree from the University of Eastern Kentucky. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he was assigned to military intelligence during the Korean conflict while stationed in Germany. Following his honorable service to the United States Army Ed relocated to Brevard County in 1959 with his family. Ed’s decision to move to Brevard County was based on his love for the outdoors and fishing. Ed was hired as an industrial arts teacher at Edgewood Jr. High School during this time he also worked for Boeing (Apollo Program time). Ed’s passion was to pass his gift of teaching along to his students to provide them with some life skills to sustain them. Ed taught Industrial Arts at Edgewood Junior High for 28 years.

Once Ed retired from Edgewood Jr. High School he pursued his passion of collecting and dealing in antiques. Ed had an antique business located in Cocoa Village where he enjoyed the next 20 years dealing in collectables. Ed was a hobbyist who loved fishing, golf, gardening and most of all his family.

Ed is survived by his family Jane Allen, Speedy Patrick, Kelly and Haley Zidik, and Rob, Karen, Mara and Carson Bobay.

A celebration of life for Ed Patrick will be held on Wednesday May 23rd at:

The Porcher House at 434 Delannoy Ave Cocoa, FL 32922 (Cocoa Village) from 5-8 PM.
