Donald Scheetz

Reverend Donald Edwin Scheetz Sr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 5, 2020. He was born in Flora, IL to Opal and Howard Scheetz on August 13, 1936. Reverend Scheetz served in the United States Navy from June 1955 to June 1959. He served 13 years as a Chaplain with the State of Florida in Brevard County. Reverend Scheetz has served churches in Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Oregon. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Sharon Diane Hoeft Scheetz, three children, daughter Cheri Lynn Scheetz Crews (Andy), son Chaplain Donald E. Scheetz Jr. (Sharon) and son Kevin Scheetz. Five grandchildren Angela Crews Luckey (Billy), Amanda Crews Finley (Joshua), Adam Scheetz (Amanda), Megan Crews White (Dustin), Brandon Scheetz and seven great granddaughters and two great grandsons. Reverend Scheetz has two sisters in Tampa, Dena Martin and Pat Tope, along with many relatives in the Tampa area.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 9:30AM at North Brevard Funeral Home. With burial to follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 8:30-9:30.
