David G Belles

David Belles, 90, of Titusville, FL, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023.

Beloved and devoted husband of Marcella Belles, they celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in July.

Loving father of Lisa (David) Shelly, Louise (Tom) Thompson and Laurie Griesel; loving grandfather of Paige Thompson (Jeremy Snelgrove), Carly (Robbie) Gathje, Sarah Shelly, Erin Thompson, Justin Griesel and Shannon Shelly; proud great-grandfather of Ollie and Gemma.

Born in Berwick, PA, David then served his country in the Army during the Korean War.  Upon his return from Korea, he worked as a tool and die maker for several small shops before eventually becoming a mechanical project engineer for Stanley Vidmar.  Upon retirement, he enjoyed travelling with Marcy in their RV all over the US.  He also developed computer programs for the visually impaired and loved working on their farm, tending to over 25 varieties of apples.

As an engineer, he was always willing to lend a helping hand and could fix anything.  He loved woodworking and taught his children many life skills and lessons.

Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father and grandpa who will be missed by all.  David was preceded in death by his dear granddaughter, Bonnie Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Hospice, 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville, FL 32780.  A private service and celebration of David's life will be held at a later date in PA.
